Materials
Since each application has different requirements we offer 5 materials to be 3D printed, each with different material properties in order to adapt our products to your needs.
Stainless steel (316L)
- Excellent strength
- Good corrosion resistance
- Suitable for most applications
Aluminium (AlSi10Mg)
- Lightweight material
- Good strength
Titanium (Ti64 gr 23)
- Excellent strenght to weight ratio
- High hardness
- Corrosion resistant
Inconel (INC718)
- Hard and strong
- Excellent thermal properties
M789
- Excellent strength and hardness
- Highly resistant to wear and tear
- Corrosion Resistant
Machines
In order to increase our flexibility and allow us the ability to print both big series and small production runs with small lead times, we have 2 different machines with different build times and platform sizes.
Trumpf Truprint 1000
While our smaller printer offers only a small building volume, it is highly accurate while allowing us to print the majority of smaller parts. It's small size also increases our flexibility considerably as it allows for a fast material change and reduces lead times to only a few days.
Platform size | Ø 100 mm |
Building height | 124 mm |
Accuracy | +/- 0,05 mm |
Layer thickness | 20µm |
Roughness | 4-7µm |
Materials Offered | All |
Shining EP250
With a building volume ten times the volume of our other printer it allows multiple orders to be printed simultaneously or, if necessary to go into series production. A bigger machine allows a big reduction in lead time for such series.
Platform size | 250mm*250mm |
Building height | 320 mm |
Accuracy | +/- 0,1mm |
Layer thickness | 30µm |
Roughness | 4-7µm |
Materials | SS316L & AlSi10Mg |
Post Treatments
Aside from the usual grinding and polishing of our printed parts, MT3D offers a wide variety of after treatments for it's parts, both to finish any rough surfaces but also to influence material properties and add functionalities.
- Grinding, tumbling, sand blasting and polishing to reduce roughness.
- Milling of surfaces to remove irregularities or increase accuracy.
- Heat and surface treatments to harden or strengthen the material.
- Drilling, threading or welding to add additional features to your parts.
